In order to achieve the best strenght when connecting the mono line to the shaft or to the reel line, the best solution is using a specialized crimping kit, made of double barrel brass sleeves and crimping tool. It is necessary to use the crimping tool instead of a standard plyer because if the sleeves are pressed too tight the mono could be damaged, while if they're pressed to light the mono could easily slip off of the sleeve.

The crimping kit contains nylon mono line diam 1,40mm, n. 20 double barrel brass sleeves, and one crimping tool.
