Loading a Totemsub speargun

Loading a Totemsub speargun is easy. It is a bit different from loading a standard muzzle speargun. In facts, the shooting line is used also for keeping the shaft in its proper position before the shot, and needs to be correctly placed. There are two steps on loading the speargun: the first is the correct placing of the line, the second the loading of the band(s).

Positioning of the line:

There are two ways to do this. The first is a bit easier and faster.

The second offers the advantage of keeping the notches or pins of the shaft clear of the line during the loading of the band(s)

Powerband(s) loading:

Loading a single banded Totemsub speargun is quite similar to loading a standard speargun. Once the speargun handle is placed right above the weight belt, one can grab the power band and load it to the first notch or pin. Then, lift the speargun until the handle is placed on the lower end of the sternum. Now, one can easily load the band to the second notch or pin. When loading a double banded speargun, one must first grab the band that's in the hole closer to the handle, and load it to the first, and then to the second pin of the shaft. Then grab the second band, the one that's in the hole more far from the handle, and load it to the first pin, taking care of gently pushing the other band down with the knuckles.
